The Fanlisting

Welcome to the fanlisting for Anne of Green Gables! If you like this amazing book/movie, please think about getting listed in this fanlisting. Please see the subnavigation on this page for the different fanlisting sections.

What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.
- From the FAQ of The Fanlistings Network

Fanlistings are a cute way to show that you are a fan of something. It is very close to what a Web clique is, but it's not elitist in the slightest (or it shouldn't be!). All that's needed to get listed as a fan of the subject is that you live somewhere (hee) and that you have an email address (though sometimes it's not important, too!).

Fanlistings can either be official or unofficial, approved or unapproved. These are different things! An official fanlisting is something that is sanctioned or supported by the subject. An approved fanlisting, however, can be many things, but mostly it means that it is listed at either The Fanlistings Network or The Anime Fanlistings Network. There are also a number of other spinoff listing approval sites out there, so it's not always that an "approved" listing is approved by TFL or TAFL.
